Laboratory Fee:                      $10.00 (Cash or money order) Investigations of selected topics in the content, will provide a practical application of the material, presented, and will strengthen the student's laboratory procedures, use of the scientific method, and critical thinking skills
Laboratory activities must be completed and turned in at the end of the period unless otherwise stated. Lab Report Format must be followed.
Assignments are posted on the Student Portal and Collaboration Site. It is your responsibility to monitor your grades.

Materials:
1.     Notebook 1 ½ inch -Science Notebook - Follow "Notebook Contract' requirements
2.     Ruled paper
3.     Unlined paper
4.     Graph paper
5.     Black or blue Ink Pen / RED ink pen for grading
6.     Colored pencils, #2 pencils, scissors and glue stick
7.     Index Cards 3x5 (vocabulary)

Attendance

1.       It is imperative to be present in class and remain current with all assignments, reading and laboratories.

2.       Daily class begins with BELL RINGER QUESTION on overhead.

3.       Laboratory activities cannot be made-up. An alternate (awful) assignment will be required.

4.       Make-up for exams and quizzes will be by appointment @ 6:45 am. No make-up during lunch or after school.

5.       Make-up work is due within 2 days, unless other arrangements are made.

6.       Projects are assigned well in advance and are due when stated.

7.        All students accumulating (10) or more unexcused absences for a full year course will be subject to the withholding of the final grade

Extra-credit: Refer to the Fairchild Options –workshops/activities. Additional extra-credit may be periodically announced.
Classroom.·Rules:
1.       School ID and uniform policy strictly enforced.
2.       No chewing gum. No food or soft drinks.
3.       Cellular telephones must be on OFF properly put away.
4.       Tables are not to be marked on with writing instruments, erasers etc. Please inform me if there are marks to avoid responsibility.
5.       It is your responsibility to be on time for class and in your assigned seat before the bell rings.
6.       Talking is not acceptable when the announcements are on or when someone is visiting the class.
7.       Respect your fellow students.
8.    No headphones, earpieces for IPods, CD players or the like etc. allowed at any time.
9.   Vandalism of aquaria will result in immediate Outdoor Suspension.
10. All rules in the Student Code of Conduct enforced.
Academics:

1.        Your notebook and textbook must be brought to class every day. No passes will be given to go to a car or locker for forgotten materials. There will be no sharing of books during class time. A "Zero" will be given each day for not having the necessary materials.
2.        Homework is important! It is your responsibility to complete each assignment on time. Quizzes based on homework assignments will be given frequently. This includes written work as well as reading assignments.
3.        Credit for make-up work -only with a satisfactory absence –completed within three days or by arrangement.
4.        Cheating and/or plagiarism in any form will result in a zero for all involved, possible "F" for 9 week grade.
5.        Head all course papers on the top RIGHT margin of the paper. Use the following model:
